Bah humbug.

HATFIELD, Pa. (CBS) — President Obama continued his push to extend middle-class tax cuts after the first of next year with a stop today at a toy manufacturer in Montgomery County.

During a stop at the K’nex manufacturing plant in Hatfield, the president called on Congress to pass an extension of tax cuts for middle-class families.

If those cuts are allowed to expire, he says, that will cost a typical family of four more than $2,200 and hurt small businesses — because consumers will spend less.

“Every family — everybody here — you’ll see your taxes go up on January 1st,” he told the workers against the backdrop of a huge American flag and the company’s toys. “I’m assuming that doesn’t sound too good to you. That’s sort of like the lump of coal you get for Christmas — that’s a Scrooge Christmas.”
