Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), appearing Thursday night on “The Daily Show,” said House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has power akin to the god of thunder in his position as head of the House GOP.
“The power of the Speaker of the House is awesome,” said Pelosi — herself a former Speaker.
Asked by Comedy Central host Jon Stewart how the Speaker’s power compared to that of Thor, the Norse god and Marvel superhero, Pelosi said the former is “sometimes more damaging than [Thor’s], under the Republicans.”
