The Obama-Biden campaign has clearly made its decision when it comes to donuts: By 5 to 1, it prefers Dunkin’ Donutsto Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
But when President Obama went shopping for some donuts for a group of Tampa firefighters Thursday, he chose Krispy Kreme, picking up three dozen.
Just before 7 a.m., he stopped by the store 10 minutes from Tampa’s airport. “Good morning everybody, good to see you guys,” said Obama.
Another customer was a math teacher, who helped the president kid that that donuts help to make children smart. “Trent is a math teacher, he is buying donuts for his kids. That whole math and donut connection is the key to school reform because I know his kids are doing great.”
