Former Gov. Ted Strickland (D-Ohio): “I think Mr. Romney and his campaign are being terribly dishonest. They’re accusing the President of getting the work requirement out of welfare. He knows it’s not true and yet he continues to spend a lot of money spreading that lie. Quite frankly, it is a lie.”
“I think it’s not so subtle racism,” Strickland said with NBC’s Chuck Todd asked if he thinks those ads on welfare are being targeted to white voters. “You know, they don’t really want to come out and say certain things. In my judgment, I’m speaking for myself, not for the Obama administration.”
