Anyone else remember the media crucifying Palin over her crosshairs map after the Giffords shooting?

(CNSNews.com) – The man who shot a security guard at the Family Research Council (FRC) on Wednesday was “given a license” to do so because of groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) that have labeled the FRC a “hate group,” said FRC President Tony Perkins. The conservative Christian group is posted on a “Hate Map” on the SPLC’s Web site.

There are 13 groups listed for the District of Columbia on the “Hate Map,” and the Family Research Council is among them, according to the SPLC, because of its support for traditional marriage and Christian morality.

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, a gunman, allegedly 28-year-old Floyd Lee Corkins of Herndon, Va., entered the lobby of the Family Research Council and shot the security guard.  According to the FBI, Corkins had a 9mm handgun, two magazines of ammunition, 50 rounds of additional ammo and 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches in his backpack and, according a witness, “stated words to the effect of ‘I don’t like your politics.’”

(Chick-fil-A was recently castigated by homosexual activists and some Democratic lawmakers because its CEO expressed his support for marriage between one man and one woman.)
