The president has been known to indulge on the campaign trail. Chili dogs, cheeseburgers, ice cream.

But this week in Iowa, when he goes to the state fair, the president told attendees at a campaign rally in Council Bluffs  that the first lady has given him strict instructions.

“Michelle has told me that I cannot have a fried Twinkie,” he said.
