SEATTLE (AP) — Michelle Obama urged a Democratic crowd to elect leaders who will fight “for the world the way that it should be,” and said that the choices for voters are clear.

The Obama campaign issued a statement denouncing the ad for “shameful attacks on the wife of a candidate.”

“How does it strengthen our country to pollute our politics with false and mean-spirited attacks?” asked Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.
