Ever notice how the fact that Planned Parenthood derives over 90% of its revenue from performing abortions never seems to make it into these ads?

Via Planned Parenthood:

The Obama campaign is bringing out a celebrity spokesperson to drive its message on Planned Parenthood today: Elizabeth Banks.

The actress appears in a new web video talking about her own relationship with Planned Parenthood and criticizing Mitt Romney’s stance on funding the organization.

“Planned Parenthood was my health care provider when I didn’t have insurance after graduating from college,” Banks says. “Yes, I got birth control, but it was for my massive migraine headaches and my heavy flow. Yeah, I’m on the record saying I had a heavy flow. And unfortunately, these are the types of things I don’t want to discuss with employers. I don’t want to talk about that with my employer. That’s between me and my doctor.”

The video comes as Obama heads to Colorado, where he’ll appear with Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown student who became nationally known as an activist for contraception access. The fact that this push is aimed at Colorado is not an accident: women were responsible for tilting the 2010 Senate race there to Democrat Michael Bennet over Republican Ken Buck, and any Obama path to victory in the state depends heavily on female voters.
