If anyone said they should be “ashamed” it would be Biden’s comrades on the left.

Vice President Joe Biden didn’t worry about using polite language in a meeting with veterans on Tuesday in Las Vegas.

“You guys don’t have a damn thing to be ashamed of,” he told attendees at a life-skills seminar at the U.S. VETS career center, according to a pool report. “We owe you. We owe you.”

Biden made an unannounced visit to the center with his wife, Jill, after delivering a speech at the National Council of La Raza. Biden told the vets — who had just been listening to a lecture about identifying and managing various emotions and behaviors — that they shouldn’t be shy about asking for help and services. And he said he wants to make sure they are not shunned the way that Vietnam veterans were.

“2.8 million volunteered after 9/11, 2.2 million walked across those damn scorching sands of Iraq and open mountains of Afghanistan, and we want to make sure that when they came home they didn’t run into the same resistance,”  he said.
