Dear MoveOn member,

In just a few hours, more than 130,000 MoveOn members nationwide called on Attorney General Eric Holder to block Florida’s racist voter purge program. But the situation got even worse yesterday — escalating from racist to ridiculous.

Florida Republican Governor Rick Scott has dug in even deeper. He has already disregarded warnings from the Department of Justice that his racist voter purge may be illegal. Just yesterday, he went a step further, saying he’ll sue the Obama administration for data to fuel the program!

We cannot stand by and let Republicans steal another election by suppressing the vote of people of color in Florida. We need the Justice Department to hear from all of us that voter suppression — especially when it targets people of color — will not be tolerated.
