Which just so happens to be a key swing state this year, Virginia. Shocker!
From the Obama campaign website:
Wanda Newell, a neighborhood team leader and a 24-year Navy veteran, was on her way to buy light bulbs when she got a call from a number she didn’t recognize. She picked up — it was Virginia State Director Lise Clavel.
“I was recently confirmed as a new neighborhood team leader — an honor for me — and Lise congratulated me for that, which was really nice.”
What Lise said next, though, floored Wanda: President Obama would be coming to Virginia for one of his first campaign stops.
“‘Oh my gosh,’ is what I thought. Did she say what I thought she said?”
