Yesterday’s lie: I know three Hilary Rosens.

(Politico 44) — White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Air Force One on Friday that Hilary Rosen has visited the White House “on a number of occasions,” but he maintained that the visitor logs are imprecise.

“It is certainly the case that Hilary Rosen democratic strategist has visited the White House on a number of occasions for large events, large meetings having to do with communications, things like that,” Carney said. He gave no precise number and said he was unaware of any meetings with Obama personally.

Carney had tried on Thursday to distance the White House from Rosen and her controversial remarks on CNN that Ann Romney, a stay-at-home mother of five boys, had “never worked a day in her life.” At a press briefing, Carney said he wasn’t sure if the 35 visits by Rosen listed in White House logs were the same Rosen.
