Carney’s absurd defense: Obama’s being “consistent.”

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said that President Obama gives the same speech at both official events and campaign fundraisers and stump speeches because he’s “consistent.”
“Because he’s consistent, because he doesn’t have a different message for different audiences,” Carney said today when asked who Obama “says the same thing in both” kinds of events.
