Vice President Joe Biden would like to see the Republican presidential field have 20 more debates before the GOP nomination contest is over.

“God love them, as my mother would say. I hope they have another 20 debates,” Biden said at a fundraiser in Florida Wednesday night according to a White House pool report.

Biden’s comments could be seen as another sign of satisfaction by President Obama’s reelection campaign with how the Republican presidential primary contest is unfolding. Presumptive nominee Mitt Romney has found himself in an extended fight to win the nomination and has been forced to spend heavily to ward off challenges from former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former Speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.)
