And he didn’t stop there, he went from screwing up a campaign to screwing up an entire country.
Via The Hill:
President Obama said Thursday that while some might remember his 2008 campaign as flawless, he says it was far from perfect and that he remembered “screwing up all the time.”
Speaking at one fundraiser in New York, Obama joked that “people remember that campaign as being flawless and so much fun.” But he said, “I don’t remember it that way … I remember us screwing up all the time.”
Obama didn’t cite specific examples of any missteps.
During the appearance at a private residence, Obama spoke for roughly 10 minutes, listing his accomplishments while in office.
While he acknowledged that “there’s still a lot of hardship” facing the country, Obama said, “the trend lines are good.” The president added that he’s working to build a “better foundation for long-term economic growth.”
