For a guy who does nothing but preach class warfare he certainly has a lot of one-percent friends.

(Orlando Sentinel) — President Barack Obama plans to be in Orlando next week during the NBA All Star Game weekend for a fundraiser held at the Windermere home of NBA star Vince Carter — with tickets starting at $30,000 a person.

Dinner is included, at that price.

The event will be Thursday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. The NBA All Star festivities run Feb. 24–26, with the NBA All Star Game on Feb. 26.

There will be dozens of big parties throughout Orlando all weekend, with all kinds of national and international celebrities and tickets typically running in the hundreds of dollars.

The parties are expected to start by Feb. 23 — and there likely will be plenty of people in Orlando with enough money, and Democratic leanings, to consider Carter’s to be THE don’t-miss one that first night.

Proceeds will go to two campaigns, Obama’s re-election campaign, Obama for America 2012, which gets the first $5,000, and the Democratic National Party, which gets most of the rest.
