Nearly 30 percent of adults in South Carolina have no idea, according to a poll released Wednesday by Winthrop University. 29.3 percent of adults polled in the Palmetto State could not identify the current vice president — Biden.
Almost a quarter of those surveyed had no answer to the question, three percent provided the wrong name and another three percent identified Dick Cheney.
Biden has mostly stayed out of the news of late, but did received significant coverage for predicting that Democrats would take back the House of Representatives. In the last week, he has done vice presidential things: meeting with senior advisers and administration officials, stumping at campaign events and speaking in Florida on the importance of addressing the rising cost of a college education.
