(CNSNews.com) – During a daylong fundraising sweep in Florida, First Lady Michelle Obama told a crowd at a Palm Beach mansion that her husband “knows what it means when women are not treated well in the workplace.”
The Palm Beach Post quoted Mrs. Obama as saying that Barack was raised by a single mother, Ann Dunham, who rode the bus to the bank where she worked. “She hit the glass ceiling. For him, this is not abstract or hypothetical.”
The president, however, is married to a woman who has been very successful in the workplace: After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1988, Michelle Obama joined a Chicago law firm.
