President Obama “doesn’t get enough credit” for working as a community organizer after he went to an Ivy League school when he could be off making millions in the private sector, MSNBC’s Al Sharpton said at a Martin Luther King Jr. prayer breakfast in Washington D.C. this morning.
“When given his education, given that he was the first to head the Harvard Law Review, he could have made millions in the private corporate world.” Sharpton said. “He chose, way before anyone ever thought he would be the president, to go back to Chicago and to work as a community organizer and to serve the underserved and the ignored.”
