The always popular death fatwa.

ISLAMABAD: The Jamhoori Wattan Party (JWP) has reminded All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief General (r) Pervez Musharraf about an edict (fatwa) by 36 Ulema declaring him ‘fit to be murdered.’

“The executor of this fatwa would be our hero,” said JWP President Talal Akbar Bugti, the son of assassinated Akbar Khan Bugti, while talking to The News on Sunday.

Approached for a comment on Musharraf’s comeback plan, Talal had no hesitation reiterating that the person, to be his assassin, would be given a bounty of Rs01 billion in Balochistan for implementing the decree (fatwa).

“The Ulema-e-Ikram, 36 in number, had held him Wajibul qatal in the killings of Akbar Khan Bugti and for murdering unarmed innocent persons at Lal Masjid of Islamabad,” he recalled.

Talal claims to be the real political heir of his father after his martyrdom. “All other members of family, particularly those in occupied Dera Bugti, are playing in the hands of the agencies.”

He claims that he would chase his father’s assassins till his last breath and till the culprits are punished.
