Cue lefty outrage.

(CBN News) — Tim Tebow, the Denver Broncos’ quarterback, said win or lose, the important thing is that he honors the Lord.

The New England Patriots crushed Denver 45-10 in Saturday’s American Football Conference division’s playoff game, which received the highest television ratings for any AFC playoff game in 18 years.

Tebow congratulated the Patriots on their victory.

“Even though you can be dejected, you can still feel hurt. You can be disappointed, but you can still honor the Lord with how you handle things,” the 24-year-old quarterback said.

Colorado State Rep. Sal Pace, a Democrat, has written to Tebow asking him to lead the state house in its daily morning prayer before lawmakers begin their work.

“You have inspired Colorado. You have inspired America!” Pace wrote in a letter sent to Tebow on Friday. “Throughout your career, you have consistently proven the naysayers wrong.”

The morning prayer at the Colorado capitol’s House and Senate in Denver is led every day by different people of all faiths.
