Spike Lee will host a fundraiser for President Obama in his home in New York next week.

According to an Obama campaign official, the film director and producer will host 40 guests at his home for Obama. Tickets will run for $35,800 per person. The event is scheduled for Thursday.

President Obama’s reelection campaign reported raising $42 million in the fourth quarter of 2011 while the Democratic National Committee raised $24 million. In the third quarter the Obama’s reelection team and the DNC raised a total $70 million.
