On the heels of his daughter’s appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain appeared on its CBS rival, “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and like his daughter, the senator offered some less-than-favorable views on the current state of the Republican Party.
McCain was asked by Letterman how he thought things were going in the “Grand Ole Party,” and the senator more than hinted, not so great.
“Well, you know, we’ve had better days,” McCain told Letterman.
