Kim Kardashian — the reality TV star known for being Kim Kardashian — has joined the long list of people targeted with negative advertising this year, finding herself the subject of of a campaign to get millionaires to pay more taxes.
The Courage Coalition, a California-based liberal advocacy organization, has produced a web video making fun of Kardashian and started a petition for people to voice their support for a California ballot initiative intended to raise taxes on millionaires.
The video urges Kardashian to not only pay her fair share but also get on board the more-taxes-from-millionaires bandwagon.
Calling on viewers to visit www.TaxKimK.com, the video flashes images of Kardashian’s excesses and alleges that last year, the socialite earned $12 million and paid 10.3 percent in taxes, while the average Californian made $47,000 and paid 9.3 percent.
