South Carolina Democrats have resoundingly selected former New York Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to be their choice for president in the November election, results from Democratic Primary indicate.
Clinton took a decisive victory in the race against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the second Palmetto State Primary on Saturday night.
Clinton held a double-digit lead in South Carolina from the get-go, but Sanders appeared to make in-roads with the state’s youth voters. But the Clinton campaign counted on Hillary’s support from the state’s large African-American electorate to win the state’s 53 delegates.
