Hillary’s path to the White House is now without doubt.

(CNN) – Sybrina Fulton, the mother of slain black teenager Trayvon Martin, endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in an op-ed published Monday on CNN.

Fulton wrote that she believed Clinton has what it takes to fight for gun control and “stand up to inaction from Republicans and indifference from the National Rifle Association.” She also praised Clinton’s ideas for reforms, such as eliminating racial profiling and investing in body cameras for police.

Fulton added that she thought Clinton would uphold President Barack Obama’s executive actions on guns and then “go even further.”

“I agree with the President: We should only support leaders that fight for common-sense gun reforms,” she wrote. “Clinton passes that test.”

Trayvon Martin was fatally shot by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, in 2012; he was unarmed at the time. Zimmerman was ultimately acquitted in Martin’s murder.
