Via Al Arabiya:
Two people were killed and several wounded on Friday in a shooting in central Tel Aviv, Al Arabiya News Channel reported.
The shooting took place in on Dizengoff street, according to a Reuters report.
An eyewitness told Channel 1 television the assailant used an automatic weapon against people at a pub.
Police said the motive for the shooting — which came amid a wave of Palestinian attacks on Israelis in recent weeks — was not immediately known and that the assailant remained at large.
Medics told AFP they had taken seven people to hospitals in Tel Aviv, with police saying two of them had been pronounced dead.
“Police units searching Tel Aviv area for suspect who carried out shooting. All injured taken to Tel Aviv hospitals,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld wrote on Twitter.
More video of shooter from other angle. Correction: the initial video also shows shooter, not someone responding to shooting.

In case anyone had any doubts about motivation:
Police sources said the gunman is an Arab from Wadi Ara in northern Israel, aged 29, and that his father recognized him from security footage of the attack, and called the police.
The killer was acting out of “Islamist” motives, having been incited to violence, Channel 2 said Friday evening. His relative said he was not aware of any “anti-state tendencies,” however.
Witnesses said some 15 shots were fired in the attack, apparently in semiautomatic bursts from a Carl Gustav submachine gun[…]
Police said a copy of the Koran was found in his backpack afterwards, Channel 2 reported.
