For the good of the country? — Really, Nancy?
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said she is comfortable with President Barack Obama running for re-election on an anti-Congress platform.
During an interview broadcast Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” the former House speaker said the president is right to wage a race against the Republican majority in the House.
“I think that the president — and for the good of the country, forget Democrats, Republicans — for the good of the country, I think it’s really important for the president to make the race that he is running against a do-nothing Congress,” Pelosi told CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley.
